Robert C. Candipan, M.D., Ph.D.
Board-certified Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Candipan is a board-certified interventional cardiologist, specializing in acute and chronic heart diseases, including abnormal heart rhythms, cardiac arrhythmia, cardiomyopathy, congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart attacks, heart failure, pericardial diseases, peripheral artery disease and valvular heart disease.
He has extensive experience in both academic and private practices, along with prior directorship experience for cardiac intensive care units, cardiac catheterization laboratories and chest pain centers. In addition, Dr. Candipan founded two interventional cardiology fellowship training programs.
Dr. Candipan received his medical degree from The University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Fla. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles, Calif. He then went on to complete a fellowship in cardiology at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, Calif. Dr. Candipan also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Calif.
